• Impart quality education to meet the needs of profession and society, To produce computer science diploma graduates who are trained in design, implementation, testing and maintenance of computational systems through competitive curriculum in collaboration with industry and other organizations.

• Attract and develop talented and committed human resource, and provide an environment conducive to innovation, creativity, team-spirit and entrepreneurial leadership in Computer Science & Engineering field.

• Facilitate effective interactions among faculty and students of the CSE Department, and foster networking with alumni, industries and other institutions.

Gangamma.M, B.E., M.Tech

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 1985. Since then, the department has held a position of pride in KVT Polytechnic. It has consistently fulfilled its role of producing Computer Engineers ready to meet the demands of the Industry. It has a well qualified and experienced team of faculty. The department has adequate facilities to support these teaching activities. I am very happy to say that all teachers of our department are M.Tech holders. The department had received a grant of Rs 4,23,072 lakhs from MODROBS, for modernization of DBMS lab from AICTE.

Facilities :

• The lab is well equipped with high configured computer system with 1,500 square feet’s area .

• 75 high end computer systems are installed in computer lab with sophisticated furniture’s.
  • Internet with networking facilities are provided.
  • Seminar hall of 1000 sqfts to conduct project work and CASP lab demo’s .
  • Spared wing to conduct PC-serving and networking-labs.
  
  

  The efforts of the department faculty, experienced supporting staff and conductive atmosphere and availability modern facilities is reflected in the excellent performance of the students. To encourage the final year students to carry out innovative projects, a project exhibition is arranged every year at the end of academic year.
