Automobile engineering program provides a wide spectrum of both theoretical and practical knowledge on modern Automotives. In addition to this, it also imparts knowledge of mathematics, Science, Basic Computers, Engineering drawing, Auto CAD and much more in the field of Automobile Engineering.

A diploma qualification in automobile engineering provides a sound grounding for further higher studies or worldwide employment opportunities in Automobile Industries, where the skill and knowledge of planning, designing, manufacturing and maintenance are concerned. Particularly when India is poised to become one of the top ten auto manufacturers in the next ten years, this programme offers immense career potential.On completion of diploma there are enormous job opportunities in both public and private sector automobile industries.

For higher studies : Students after completion of diploma in Automobile Engg can directly admitted to 3rd semester BE. student can join to BE automobile or BE mechanical

About department : Automobile department was started in the year 1985-86 by great visionery Sri C.V VENKATARAYAPPA on motto of providing good technical education in this region.The Dept is having very good infrastructure and well equipped laborateries quenching the thirst of students.The dept has well qualified and dedicated teaching and non teaching faculty.

Course ware : Automobile journals, Automobile magazines such as AUTO INDIA,CAR& BIKE etc will be available to the students in addition to text books.

Equipments availabie for students : Computerised wheel alligner ; Computerised wheel balancer ;Four gas analyser ; Diesel smoke meter ; Cylinder Reboring machine ; Brake drum skimming lathe ; Valve refacer ; Complete electrical demonstration kit of a car ; Petrol engine test rig (single cylinder and multi cylinder engine) ; Diesel engine test rig (multi cylinder) ; Air brake system demo layout Elecrtrical equipments ; Working models of projects.
