Admissions to Diploma Program
Candidates seeking admission to the diploma course may get the application form at any Govt/Aided Polytechnic in the state or Download from our website and the same shall be submitted to our nodal centre at K.V.T.Polytehnic[aided],C.V.V.Campus, Chickballapur.
The candidate should fill up the application form with all necessary particulars.Seats are reserved for various categories like SC/ST, category 1,2A,2B,3A,3B and for rural girls as per Government Order in force.
Elibility Creteria
For General:- Pass in SSLC / Equivalent with 35% aggregate marks in Mathematics & Science. For SC/ST/Category I candidates of Karnataka.
- Pass in SSLC 25% seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates.
- Applicants for Automobile Engg. must have completed 16 years as on 1st July.
Candidates who have passed examinations other than S. S. L. C( Karnataka) have to obtain eligibility certificate from the Secretary , Board of Technical Examination , Palace Road , Bangalore – 1 before being admitted to the courses. The Polytechnic will help the candidates to get eligibility certificate, if desired.
Documents Needed:
- Transfer & Conduct Certificate (Original & 1 copy).
- S.L.C Marks Card (Original & 1 copy).
- Photographs 6 No’s (3 Passport size + 3 stamp size)
- Five / Ten years study certificate duly countersigned by AEO / BEO (Between I Std. to X Standard) – Original & 1 copy.
- Rural certificate duly countersigned by AEO / BEO – Original & 1 copy.
- Kannada Medium Studied certificate ( Studiend in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard) duly countersigned by AEO / BEO – Original & 1 copy
- Caste Certificate & Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar for SC/ST & Category I candidates (Original & 1 copy).
- Eligibility certificate – In case of students who have passed 10 std. or equivalent exams, other than K.S.E.E. Board, Bangalore (Original & 1 copy).

* The Candidates have to pay 40/- towards NSS in institutes only where Additional Self-financed NSS unit is willing to establish when NSS unit exists.
** The Candidates have to pay 50/- towards NSS in institutes where Self-financed NSS unit is willing to establish when NSS unit doesnot exist.
***Atleast minimum one NSS unit must be existing in every Poytechnic.
